The 1st Five Years
We believe The first five years in a child’s life are incredibly important when it comes to setting them up with a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.
Children grow and develop rapidly in their first five years across the four main areas of development. These areas are motor (physical), communication and language, cognitive, and social and emotional.
In fact children’s brains develop connections faster in the first five years than at any other time in their lives. This is the time when the foundations for learning, health and behaviour throughout life are laid down. Babies are born ready to learn, and their brains develop through use. Stimulating and caring environments with lots of different activities give children plenty of ways to play, develop and learn, and lots of chances to practise what they’re learning.
